Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with a passion for UI/UX
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Our client is currently seeking an exceptional Full Stack Software Engineer with a passion for UI/UX to build highly innovative solutions for our customers. The successful candidate will work on one or more of our multiple applications, delivering new functionality over the entire lifecycle from design through to release.
The Performance Analytics and Reporting (PA&R) business unit within the company builds the core Analytics capabilities that enable customers to report, analyse, and visualize all their data. We build a product that transforms customer business process information into valuable insights. Our team delivers ad-hoc reporting, performance scorecards, time series analyses, predictive analytics, and powerful visual dashboards for browser and mobile applications. We are laser-focused on building an innovative, scalable and feature-rich Analytics stack based on the latest technologies such as Angular, React, and others. Our products are cloud based, and offered as subscriptions.
They are looking for the best forward-thinking cloud platform developers to join us. While our team is in Amsterdam, Netherlands, they have R&D centres across the world. We have offices in many locations including Silicon Valley, London, Hyderabad, and Tel Aviv to name a few.
What you get to do in the role:
As a Full Stack Software Engineer you will be a key member of the Performance Analytics and Reporting business unit. While you are a passionate UI/UX developer and you spend most of your time working on the front-end, you’re also an accomplished back-end developer. You are expected to help design and deliver reporting and analytics visualization components and applications on the platform. In this role, we expect you to help lead the team and be the backbone to our development process. Besides getting your own coding done, we expect you to contribute to the future of our product, to helping others grow and become better developers, and to be highly active in planning and development meetings.
You will own your code from design through implementation and test automation, delivering high quality and valued software to customers. You will work directly with our technical support organization to assist customers and answer their technical questions. You will work closely with our designers and Product Owners, our platform teams, our Customer Success team and other BUs across the world.
You will apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of discipline/business area and serve as a resource for others.
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
– A minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
– 5+ years of work experience developing complex UI using modular, object-oriented JavaScript.
– Expertise in the following browser UI technologies: HTML, CSS, ReactJS, AngularJS and JQuery.
– Verifiable deep understanding of object-oriented Java programming.
– Knowledge of REST APIs.
– Expertise in Unit and Integration Test Frameworks.
– Knowledge of SQL and data structures.
– Strong debugging, testing, and problem solving skills.
– Application performance in mind with every line of code you write.
– Previous experience of working in a SCRUM environment.
– Experience with one or more source control systems and automation frameworks, preferably Git and Maven.
– Familiarity with the Unix shell and MacOS.
Ideally, you’re able to code without using any framework but you’re familiar with the latest technologies. You have extensive experience in solving difficult problems on the operational side of coding.
