To manage and develop the Oracle Financial system for the BAU (business as usual) operations and establish a robust finance systems team. Ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform the business within Oracle EBS.
The Systems team needs to be created and developed so we require an experienced systems accountant with expert knowledge in Oracle.
Principal Accountabilities
·Manage and establish a robust system team to support the finance operations
·Design and implement robust controls around the integration from other corporate systems into Oracle, to ensure streamlined month end reporting
·To be the subject matter expert for the Oracle Configuration and support the business as usual operations
·Complete root-cause analysis of any integration failure and support resolution or ensure that other business stakeholders are aware of any actions which they must taken
·Develop an excellent knowledge in the company’s overall Oracle finance solution
·Oversee the European Oracle help desk tickets and develop the systems team to support resolution in-house rather than 3rd party consultants
·Oversee the Global Oracle Change request system and liaise with Systems Integrator on Oracle related matters
·Perform Business Analysis for Oracle end-user reporting requirements.
·Act as a backup to the data administrator and able to input and manage the Oracle system’s master data
·Support the users for improvement opportunities to enhance the system and processes
·Manage and drive any Oracle change requirements
·Manage and support on Oracle BAU projects and improvement initiatives
·Understand the CVR’s and Security rules and Metadata to support day to day changes.
·Evaluate the risk and implementing controls to ensure compliance
·Liaise with the ICT depart to make improvements system related
·Work with the other accounts departments team and the Centre of excellence team to review processes and provide support where required to improve processes
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications
Knowledge of IFRS and Financial process, Accounting qualification desirable
Educated to degree level in either computer sciences
Skills & knowledge
Excellent understanding on Oracle EBS System and configuration (All sub-ledger)
Experience in maintaining and managing finance systems
Experience managing a systems team
Expert Knowledge of SQL
Expert Knowledge of VBA
Excellent understanding on Oracle EBS System and configuration
Proven track-record in being able to learn, retain and use new skills/knowledge
Good attention to detail with a hands-on approach
Ability to build good business relationships at all levels in the business
Knowledge of Noetix and InfoAssist would be an advantage
Experience
Excellent experience of working within a systems finance function with Oracle expertise
Prior experience of working within a multi-national Finance function
Thorough understanding of internal controls (Sox/JSox) and effective risk mitigation strategies.
