Position: Project Manager
Reporting to: Technical Director

 
 
Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager from the MSP IT sector to join our growing team. Our new team member should ideally have a minimum of 2 years Project Management experience.
The role of our Project Managers is a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of multiple projects providing IT infrastructure and architectural services and ensuring these are managed in line with client expectations.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the PM will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and budget allocated. The PM will be supporting the project Engineers by coordinating and briefing the team, providing operational and logical guidance ensuring resources are available and allocated adequately, while facilitating appropriate communications between our stakeholders.
 
A consultative approach is required and the ideal candidate will want to continue learning and developing their skills that will ultimately benefit both them and the business.

In the past 5 years, they have enjoyed significant organic growth which has been further boosted through 3 acquisitions, the most recent of which has further increased their penetration into the financial services sector, and they plan to make further acquisitions this year.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Manage projects/programs from design and development to production, while following and maintaining project documentation;
·Work with Project Engineers to formulate project plans while defining project requirements and planning project lifecycle deployment;
·Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation;
·Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning;
·Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones;
·Demonstrate strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills;
·To manage and schedule engineering resource to ensure successful project implementation;
·Ensure all project plans, resourcing and documentation are submitted for approval before, during and at the end of the project life-cycle;
·Manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders, by communicating client expectations to the relevant teams;
·Coordinate all relevant third party suppliers in the delivery of the overall project;
·Ensure that all projects have a risk register, issues log assigned, populated and kept current throughout the lifetime of a project;
·Ensure that all assigned projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with the approved project plan;
·Ensure that all completed projects are properly handed over to the Service desk. This will include documentation including diagrams, configurations, licencing agreements, key contacts, and 3rd party contracts and key information about the client and their use of IT;
·Ensure all projects are invoiced correctly, including any on-going costs;
·Ensure that all completed projects are delivered in line with quality standards;
·Assist in updating and enforcing the Company’s Project Framework;
·Assist the company in its primary purpose of generating profit.
 
Required Attributes
·2 years minimum experience as a Project Manager;
·Demonstrated project leadership skills;
·Good negotiation skills;
·Demonstrated critical thinking skills;
·Demonstrated task management skills;
·Demonstrated history of delivering high quality results on schedule and within budget;
·Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience;
·Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates.
 
 
Desirable
·Basic understanding of underlying IT solutions such as cloud, virtualisation and networking;
·Strong presentation skills. Ability to effectively present and manage internal and external stakeholders;
·Formal project management certification (PMP/Prince2 or similar).
